Eribulin’s Future Perspectives
The demonstration that Eribulin`s mechanism of action extends beyond the
classical antimitotic effects to include
complex changes in tumour biology
,
opens the door for other
therapeutic possibilities
. Future strategies will
involve:

Sequencing of Eribulin with other drugs
•
Combinations of Eribulin with targeted agents that affect vascular
perfusion or tumour phenotype
•
Combining Eribulin with immune checkpoint inhibitors
whose
effectiveness may depend on the underlying differentiation state of the
tumour and its associated immune infiltrates.
