1L CT (HR+HER2-): sequential mono-CT vs poli-CT

Both combination and sequential single agent CT are reasonable options. Based on
the available data, we recommend sequential monotherapy as the preferred choice
for MBC.

Combination CT should be reserved for patients with rapid clinical progression, life-
threatening visceral metastases, or need for rapid symptom and/or disease control
[ESMO 2016]

Favourable therapeutic index
•
Interesting in case of:
o
Slow, non life-threatening
progression
o
Insensitive to or progression during
endocrine therapy
•
Unfavourable therapeutic index
•
Interesting to achieve rapid remission in
case of:
o
Extensive symptoms
o
Imminent life-threatening
metastases
